There are many activities in Bulgaria to enjoy during your stay. A few examples of what you can find here are listed below. Beach Resorts: Situated on the East side of Bulgaria where you will find miles of sandy beaches and the Black Sea. Rambling / Hill Walking / Hiking: Bulgaria is a rich abundance of mountains, open countryside, lakes & rivers, and national parks. No matter what level of walking you enjoy, there is something here for everyone. The countryside is unspoilt, and the roads are very quiet! Horse Riding: There are horse riding and trekking centres all across Bulgaria, with many trails for you to explore. Contact the Bulgarian tourist information centres in the cities to obtain the best trails and tour guides. Bird Watching / Botany / Nature Parks: Bulgaria has plenty of parks and reserves, some of which are protected and some natural. Over 300 species of birds and animals and reptiles including bears, wolves, deer, snakes and lizards can be seen at the parks. The larger animals are secluded away from urban places. Skiing: During the winter months, the mountains are laden with snow. The scenery is breathtaking. For experienced skiers the high mountains are a must. Pamporovo ski resort, in the Rodopi mountains, is ideal for beginners and experienced skiers. Fishing: There are lakes and rivers all over the country abundant with fish. A must for the avid fisherman. Golf: There are several golf courses in Bulgaria for the keen golfer.
