Callepagium Studios offer self catering holidays in their studio apartments (new in 2008), situated in Velikan, south central Bulgaria. We enjoy panoramic views across the beautiful countryside, to the Rhodopi mountains in the distance. The village has two small stores, offering basic provisions. Ideally located for first time visitors to the country, everything Bulgaria has to offer is within easy reach of your family holiday accommodation by car. There is plenty to see and do close by, or if you wish to travel further afield, you could be in the eastern sea resort of Bourgas (Sunny Beach), or in the mountains at the ski resorts of Chepelare or Pamporovo in around two hours. There is plenty to discover in the towns, cities, and ancient monuments nearby, offering rich history. If all this sounds a bit much, why not relax in the garden at Callepagium Studios, soaking up the sun while you read a good book.

The village is perfectly placed as a base for anyone looking to purchase a property here, with all parts of Bulgaria reachable by car within three hours. The owners of Callepagium Studios have recent experience of purchasing property in Bulgaria, and would be happy to offer some basic guidance to anyone looking to do the same. Trisha & Doug Rainbow (the owners), live in the grounds of Callepagium Studios, ensuring any concerns you may have during your holiday are quickly resolved. During the long warm summer nights, they hold regular barbeques for their friends and guests, under the starlit Bulgarian sky.
